For a record-breaking third year in a row, the Dutch master Ti?sto holds the number one spot. There really is no disputing this man's position in the hearts of clubbers across the globe. Previously, Paul Oakenfold and Carl Cox have both won the award twice, but Ti?sto has taken things to a whole new level with his 25,000 capacity stadium gigs and DJing at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games to a TV audience in excess of 4.5 billion. There really is no other individual who could claim the title of Top 100 DJ 2004, and we congratulate Ti?sto for his amazing achievement.

Every year, dance music lovers from around the world choose which DJs they rate worthy of a ranking amongst the elite. Only 100 names from the thousands of jocks out there will make the grade, and the choice is entirely yours. The poll is widely respected because it gives a clear indication of which DJs are currently most popular with the people that count - the clubbers.

After several remixes for Andain, Way Out West, Black-hole Recordings, Vank and Gesture music (the label of Misja Helsloot), the latest release is a double A sided vinyl by DJ Dazzle containing the tracks Clino and Radar.
Collaboration
This 12? vinyl is produced in collaboration with Erik de Koning (Three Drives) and is released on Dallas recordings, the label of DJ Dazzle. Martijn Wittebols: ?In the first place, the intention is to release new productions on my record label, Dallas recordings, which I can play during my DJ sets. And in the near future talented producers will also have a chance to release their productions on the label?. Radar and Clino can be described as uplifting, melodic tech-trance. The track Clino has already been spinned by various DJ?s such as Ferry Corsten, Ton T.B., Johan Gielen and Cor Fijneman.

Trance DJs dominate
The dutch master holds his crown despite stiff competition from Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren, in second and third place. European trance DJs dominate the chart, with hard dance and progressive jocks also make a good showing.
There are plenty of fresh faces in the new Top 100, but the big names of house also hold their ground, and techno DJs perform particularly strongly this year too.

Het is weer zover, de jaarlijkse DJ Top 100 Poll. Toon je waardering en stem voor 10 oktober via DJMag op op je 5 favoriete DJ's.
There have been many imitations since its inception a decade ago, but the DJmag Top 100 DJs poll is the original - and still the most widely - respected award in the dance music world.
Last year the resurgence of trance saw Tiesto zoom to the top of the chart - but who will top this year's poll?
That's an accolade that YOU DECIDE.

Er zijn de laatste tijd 2 interessante ontwikkelingen op het gebied van draaitechniek verschenen die zeker de moeite waard zijn om even te bekijken.
Trakor DJ 2.0
De eerste bestaat uit een geheel softwarematige manier van mp3?s mixen door de release van de vernieuwde versie van Native Instruments Traktor DJ. Dit programma werkt met een beatsync-techniek waarbij de bpm uit de mp3, WAVE, AIFF of audio CD wordt gelezen.
